York Van Nixon III, a native Washingtonian, is a published novelist, who has written over two hundred articles on politics and real estate finance. His first book Missing Steps is being followed by A Sparrow Hawk Loves Yew, a mystery/thriller in an English village haunted by its past. When not working on his novel or writing articles, York works as a free-lance editor for different publications, such as DC Live of the Historical Society of Washington. Mr. Van Nixon has degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts. He is also a licensed real estate broker, residential appraiser and mortgage broker. His companies are operated under the banner of Nex Millennium Realty. The author’s first major brush with Multiple Sclerosis was in the 1970’s, when he was a student at the venerable Jones-Haywood School of Dance. Because so little was known about MS in those days, he was not diagnosed until thirty years later after he fell near the end of a marathon. .
